Yikes!!!

First let me say "Happy Birthday!!" to my sweet angel, London. She's three!!!!She wanted a picture of her hair and then took the camera to take a picture of her pasty mom. So, is it just me or am I getting worse in my frequency of blog updating? Okay, I'm going to commit to a resolution and try to update once a week. That said, let me give a run down of my life lately: First of all, I'm feeling better and the kids are too.....however, the hubs is starting to get our sickness. Hopefully, it will be better for him. Because we've been so homebound, we have tried to have little family nights for London because she, like me, gets serious cabin fever. We've been having picnics and movie nights in the family room. These pictures show us watching "Emperor's New Groove." Madden only wanted to cuddle and London laughed and laughed the whole time. She is such a funny girl. The other day, I was feeling guilty because I'm been distracted, sick, and just plain tired and have neglected my little girl. The solution to relieve my guilt was to have sole attention on London. I gave her a bath, blow dried her hair, straightened it, and curled it. As a result she became a vixen and told me she need pictures. I've got to tell ya, she worked the camera! I thought it was hilarious. For Valentine's Day I made London pink pancakes, pink eggs, and pink milk. She thought it was the best thing in the whole world. She and Madden got new red outfits. While I was getting ready I had put Madden on the bed. The next thing I know, she climbed up there and was singing to him. She is such a little mommy! Onto London's birthday: I cannot believe that three years ago yesterday, I had a little baby girl. It seriously seems like I had her yesterday. When I look back at her baby pics, I think, "Oh, it was so fun to dress her up!!!" On the morning of her birthday this week, I woke up at 2 a.m. to her screaming in the basement. I knew it must have been a nightmare, but low and behold, she had tried to go the bathroom and couldn't get her pj's back on. After helping her out and finally getting back to bed, she came upstairs ten minutes later. Since Ty and I don't let her sleep in our bed, she slept on our floor! London talks in her sleep....a lot. That said, we had a sleepless night. The first thing she said when she woke up was, "Do I get presents?" That was the line we got all day long. ANNOYING!!!!! She got a dress and a My Little Pony from Ty's mom, lots of princess and coloring stuff, and a purse, panties, quilt, and pj's from my mom. Wow, spoiled. We had a lovely birthday dinner of pizza and salad with a dessert of lots of cake and ice cream! My mom's neighbor got married and gave my mom two cakes! Needless to say, I did not make a cake. Instead we had ice cream (with wedding cake) and I put out bowls and bowls of toppings.....I had no self control people. None. Nada. I was sick last night. Oh well, it was a fun day and I can't believe my little baby girl is three. Don't blink.

Yep still sick....

I can't believe that I, who seriously never ever ever get sick, have been sick for this long. I've got to give kudos to all you people who catch every flu and cold that comes along because this is annoying! Last weekend my mother was kind enough to take me to Instacare because I couldn't breathe. I was put on a different antibiotic and about four other meds. Monday I woke up feeling just as awful and to top it all off I got a migraine. I believe that I slept 8 hours straight. Never in my life have I been in bed that long, number one. Number two, I don't think I've slept longer than 3 hours during the day that wasn't at least drug induced. So finally at nine p.m. last night after a day of nausea, ice packs, bed rest, and absolutely no food, I asked Tyler to get me an ice cream cone. The good man that he is hurried out of our house and got me the biggest, bestest, vanilla and chocolate twist ice cream cone he could find. Another unfortunate occurrence in our home is that Madden has RSV and they believe that the reason I'm still sick is that I might have it too. So, lucky for us we have a nebulizer for breathing treatments. I've had it!!!!!! On a positive note, Madden is surprisingly big for an RSV baby and seems to continually gain weight. What a good boy. London has been playing a lot with Madden and puts his blanket on his head, lays on him and gets him to laugh constantly. This last picture is for Grandma and Grandpa who are in England. We were able to talk to them on web cam a couple weeks ago. Miss you guys!

A day in the life of London.....

Since I've been so sick, I haven't really been up to taking care of my kids that much. I've been basically toughing it out at the gym and then coming home and collapsing. I've been coughing so much that I feel like my ribs are bruised....so thankfully, my mom took the kids so I could literally try to get a wheezing work out in. Unfortunately, my mischievous little girl was full of it today. Here is her day in a nutshell 1. Yell at mom until she does my hair the way I WANT it! 2. Climb on boxes to the top shelf of Aunt Libby's closet to get a doll. 3. Hide from Mimi in the closet behind clothes. 4. Change outfit 5. Pee in toilet and change panties for fun. 6. Try out every bed (crib) in the house until I fall asleep. 7. Wake up when phone rings and go pee.....and change panties for fun. 8. Go to sleep on couch and yell at Mom, Mimi, and Poppa to be quiet while still asleep. 9. Change outfit. 10. Steal an entire ROW of butterscotcheroos and lick all the chocolate off. 11. Change panties for fun and go potty. 12. Take off all my clothes and stand on Madden's walker....while he is in it. 13. Go potty and yell at mom that I have diarrhea and need some yogurt. 14. Sneak crackers in bed. 15. Yell at mom to say, "Thanks for tucking me in bed!" Yes, believe it or not, this was SOME of her day. I didn't mention that she reminded that her birthday is almost here about twenty times. She also tried to sit on Madden and got him to lick her face. Sigh....This too shall pass....

Pneumonia!

That's right folks, London and her mom have Walking Pneumonia. Sorry for the lack of updates. I've got to be honest, we don't feel like doing too much. So, look forward to an update sometime this week when our antibiotics kick in.

It's time for an update you say?

Okay, fine. I've been a little distracted...a little tired....and maybe a little lazy. Since Christmas was so far away, I better tell about that. We went to G Simmons' house for the festivities and had a glorious time of feasting and presents. We have become a massive group as you can see. Every year Santa comes to my grandparents and London went crazy. I mean, excited crazy, where she hovered around him the whole time even after her turn was up. I was glad that my Uncle David was there to feed Madden while I kept the spastic kiddo in check. It was so fun to have a little body who believed in Santa. We slept at my parents' house and London was soooo excited that she couldn't sleep. Since Tyler, my brother-in-law, Brad, and sister, Olivia stayed up until4:30 a.m. playing Wii, they were somewhat delirious at 6:00 when London woke up. In fact, Brad slept most of the present opening and probably through the traditional morning picture. I guess he was really tired....however, Tyler being used to the lack of sleep was just fine. London got mostly princess stuff including a crown, wand, and high heels. She's been walking around the house saying, "Boppy Boo!" to almost anything. I'm pretty sure everyone enjoyed their presents. My mom and dad got all of us furniture pieces for which we are all thrilled! Tyler and I had a budget of $50 for each other. I spent about $150 and Tyler went over.....I have no idea how much. I did get another iPod (Yes I know it's my fifth one. I don't know why they break, Okay?!), he got my a Dooney & Bourke purse, and loads and loads of jewelry and perfume. Such a good man. Since the holidays are pretty family packed and busy, London continually missed her afternoon nap. In fact and Christmas day she threw a tantrum so monumental while in the car that when we got to his grandparents street she passed out. Soooo.....I stayed in the car while Tyler said his "Merry Christmas's." She is still refusing to take naps. This picture was taken after she ran to her room covering her face because Daddy was making her lay down. Well, at least she fell asleep that way. I have had it with these terrible twos. I wish she would go back to the "Madden" stage. So sweet and happy, Sigh. Our New Year's was uneventful. We were at my parents until 10:00 when I got too tired. We came home and I was asleep at 11:00 p.m.....Tyler was awake playing the Wii. This is our holidays in a nutshell. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! Stick with those resolutions!

Surgery Numero Dos

Yep, that's right. I had shoulder surgery at the beginning of December making this my second within a two month period. Using one arm is difficult, but trying to nurse a growing little boy and having Tyler do my hair were definite downsides. I can't even say how sad I was that I couldn't even hold my little baby. This was the best we could do....Since, Tyler has been gone for two weeks I have been staying at my parents. It's been nice to have the help but, I'm so excited for the hubs to get home today. My poor parents have sacrificed a lot of sleep helping me. London literally refused to go to sleep for all of her naps and every night. Funny enough, the day before Tyler left London fell asleep on our kitchen stool mid-yelling that she wasn't going to take a nap! The only way we could get her to take a nap was a drive everyday. Unfortunately, I made a midnight drive one night because she was so hyper and Poppa and Mimi were tired as well as me! Maddie has also been a big help changing diapers galore. The week after my surgery I was foolish enough to schedule Madden's four month check-up. I'm just glad Mimi was okay taking us there, taking care of me, and taking care of a four month old who just had shots. This is in addition to an attitude-consumed two year old. YIKES! If I wrote every funny, clever, or mean thing London said during this two week period I could fill a book. At least Madden was good....right? Did I mention how excited I am for Tyler to get home!!!!!
